Abelinda Grey - Commandant Empty Abelinda Grey - Commandant

    Post by LikeAB0SS Mon 12 Nov - 4:57

(This is going to be a short little side story of Abbey getting started to where she is. I will probably add more later on.)

I stood at attention, my pale blue eyes surveying the massive deck of the Promethium, the High-Tech Ultra Carrier. The thick ship was made of two meters of titanium armor plating, armed with two Magnetic Accelerator Cannons, twenty six oversized Archer Missile Pods, three Shiva-Class Nuclear Missiles, and eight point defense turrets, this ship was made for war. I was standing in the middle of the inside of the deck. Holographic computer screens and keyboards were placed side-by-side throughout the Command Center. Communication Specialists and Defense Personal worked at the screens, their eyes glued to what they were seeing and working on. Orders were placed on each other as they hollered to whomever was around to carry out their need.

I marveled at how quickly the screens flashed as they threw their hands across the hovering lights, typing and clicking, bumping, and smoothing their hands over what they wanted. I smiled a wolfish grin and shook my head, pushing my shoulders back and looking straight forward through the large windows that encompassed the entire room on all the surrounding walls.

I felt a presence besides me, and I knew who it was before I even turned to look. I couldn't help the smile that lit my face as I turned.

"Nice to see you're acquainted with the Commanding Center, Commandant Grey." General Wright said smoothly, his facial expression was of a polite smirk. Right.

"Thank you for allowing me aboard the ship, General. Though I shall politely disincline to acquiesce your request on whether I shall be staying for an elongated trifle of time. My sincerest apologies, though I have other places to be."

The General smiled, "I can't just find myself another Commandant, Sir."

"You could, you're just not looking hard enough yet." I heard him sigh and saw him out of the corner of my eye shake his head in disappointment.

    "Why won't you-"

"Sir!" One of the Personal in the room shouted to us. All of a sudden, alarms starting blaring all over the room, the computers all went red with flashing warning, sounds of shouting sounded throughout the room as chaos's uprising had begun. I felt my spine go ram-rod straight, my muscles bunched and readied themselves.

"Report!" I snapped. One of the Personal ran up to me, his eyes were wide in his face as he heaved breaths of air while trying to speak.

"Sir, We're picking up a strange congregation. As of now, our systems are being tampered with, we just went from one hundred percent power to ten. Target systems are being overloaded and our radars are going haywire, we're picking up strange readings of hundreds of blimps all centered and gunning for us."

I cursed underneath my breath. The General turned to me, his face was grave as his voice was thick with determination, "Orders, Sir?"

I gritted my teeth, all eyes were focused on me, "All Personal deploy gunners to Sectors A, B, and D. Sectors C, E, F, Commence Firing Sequences to that of the surrounding areas if you see any movement from North, South, East, and West of the Promethium. We need some eyes in the skies, deploy eight F-22 Raptor Jets. I need some intel underneath us, Radio the Sub. and get me details. I want to know if there is anything coming for us under the water. Let's go!"

The alarms starting blaring around us as someone pulled the plug. It was loud and beat my eardrums harshly. Red lights flashed, and ship seemed to rock with startled movement as many bodies started moving all across the ship. Orders were shouted through the communications. We sent an emergency signal out to any of our allied ships near us. "Initiate auxiliary drive systems test, now! Where are we standing with this fight?!" I snapped to anyone nearby.

A girl from the front piped up from behind her screen, the red lights played darkly over her paled face, "Sir! Our systems are crashing! We have technical difficulties, something's not right, something is in the sh-!"

A loud crash sounded from behind me, the ship started to rock as the explosion threw open the doors behind me. I ducked down, hitting the floor hard as fire and pieces of hot metal rained down on me. Screams filled the air a did moans of pain. The air seemed thick with smoke, and i grimaced in pain as the pieces of mortar cut through my clothes and burned my skin.

I turned in time to see General Wright fly in the air and hit one of the windows, his body smacking into the glass. "Wright!" I shouted as another explosion deep within the ship rocked me forward. My face hit the titanium of the floor and I snarled in rage.

All the lights in the ship suddenly went out, and blackness overcame the ship just as the screaming started.

(Oh yeah, and I guess this is as close as a picture I could get of Abbey, she looks a little different in my head, and picture pale blue eyes or golden ones, okay? xD By the way, her eyes are turning gold in this one . . . Kinda.

So here she is, take it all in! Once again . . . Eyes.

Abelinda Grey - Commandant Empty Re: Abelinda Grey - Commandant

I cursed aloud as my Were' sight kicked in, and I could see in the dark. People moved about slowly, and there was blood splatter all across the walls. I took in a deep breath and inhaled smoke into my lungs. I let out a cough, grimacing at the taste of it in my mouth.

    "Wright!" I called out.

He didn't respond. I reached up and gathered up some buried anger in my chest, letting a little bit flow out, I felt my claws elongate on my fingers and I ripped at my "Dress" jacket that we had to wear. It came away in tatters. Rolling my shoulders, I could move about more freely. I pushed myself up to my feet, grabbing some pieces of jacket in my hands and putting it to my mouth, breathing through it.

Dark forms of people crawling through the debris came to my attention; that, and the unmoving forms. I feel a knot form in my stomach and chest, as darker forms sobbed over bodies and lurched about. I could see the whites of eyes in the dark, staring, un-blinking towards the ceiling, glazed over and unseeing.

My eyes roved around the room, looking for Wright. I start towards where I last saw his body fly when another explosion deep within the ship throws me to the side, and I clutch at a control station, trying to stay on my feet. Screams fill my head as wailing sounds around me, and I grimace, gritting my teeth as the sounds grate on my eardrums and they threaten to shatter and explode in my head.

I grip at the control table melded into the floor of the ship, trying to stay on my feet, “Wright!” I scream, inhaling a lungful of smoke. I cough, shutting my eyes tight against the smoke burning them, turning my gaze watery. I feel as if I’m slowly choking, inhaling the toxic fumes of fire and little particles of metal within the smoke. I fall to my hands and knees, trying to see under the smoke since it, along with heat, rises.

There’s a little space of clear air underneath the smoke and heat. On my hands and knees, I start forward, taking in a deep breath of as much clean air as I can.

    “Wright!”

“Sir! Grey! Over here!” A voice shouts to me.

My head swivels to the left, behind large chunks of the thick metal doors and pieces of concrete, a red headed ‘Shifter looks at me, blood streaking her face and into her silver eyes.

I take in a deep breath of as much air as I can, and get up to my feet, when another blast deep below rocks me, and I sway as I take one step forward. Gritting my teeth, I start forward again, at a dead sprint to get across the room as quickly as possible, pressing the cloth to my face from my torn dress shirt.

Whence I reach the woman, she’s already speaking to me, couching and smearing dirt and blood across her face as she wipes the back of her hand across her eyes, “Grey, Sir, I’ve found Wright. He’s stuck underneath the door from the blast. I need help lifting it.”

I nod my head at her, pointing to his side of the door right in front of me, “Get this end. I’ll go for that corner. On my count, lift as hard as you can and toss it to the side over there-“ I point away from us as I get up and jog to the other side of the door where I place my hands on a sturdy spot to lift, “-whatever you do, don’t drop it. It could land in a different spot and crush him.”

She nods at me, “Yes, Sir.”

I grit my teeth and widen my stance as I take in another deep breath, inhaling smoke instantly.

    “One. Two . . .

    Three! Now!”

With a grunt and a wail, Red snarls and lifts her side of the door with a great might. I take up my side and growl, lifting it high above my head. With a snarl, we toss it to the side. I look at Red and see her eyes ablaze in the dark, a dark golden ring of fire glaring at me. I smirk back, flashing my canines and letting her see the golden glow of my own gaze.

“Mate.” I nod my head to her.

She grins back at me, “Been a long time since I’ve had Pack Strength.”

I snort as I kneel by Wright’s side, keeping my eyes locked with hers, “What are you talking about? You’re part of the military, Military is Pack.”

“It’s rare to have a fellow ‘Were though.”

I shake my head, looking down at Wright, “Too rare.”

I lean down close to Wright and sniff, taking in a deep breath of his scent. His scent is stronger than it should be . . .

“Shit.” I snarl, shaking my head sadly. I close my eyes and throw my head back on my shoulders, gritting my teeth as I listen for his heartbeat, taking in another breath of his scent.

I hear Red shuffle behind me.

    “He’s dead.”

I could feel my anger start to burn deep inside me. I let out a string of curses low under my breath just as the smoke starts to sting my eyes further, burning them from the outside in. I felt like I've been shot, right int eh center of my chest as if my rib cage is caving in on itself.

"Friend?" Red drawls out in a sigh.

"Pack." I reply through gritted teeth. I press my fingers to his sliced jugular, just to make sure he really is gone.

Under my fingers, his flesh is still, silent, already cooling so quickly.

I jerk my head to the side, looking away from his body as my fingers fall from his throat. I bite the inside of my cheek, my canines cutting into my flesh just as my eyes burn brighter in my face, a dark glow of a crimson gold. How am I going to tell the pack I let my own Nephew die?

"You stupid little shit, should have stayed home when I told you to." I snarled through my gritted teeth, a small smile lighting my face as I kept looking away.

Another explosion rocked the ship forward, the glass on the walls surrounding us started to crack from the pressure. I swayed with the ship, I could hear Red behind me shift her weight, and felt her unease come off of her in waves, "Sir! We have to move! We need to leave his body here, there isn't any time to transport him and the others with us!" She shouted over the din.

I look back at Wright, look to his glazed over dark chocolate gaze. I run my fingers over his eyelids and close his lids, leaning down to kiss the tip of his nose softly. A memory of watching him skin his knee in the sand pit we had out back threatens to take hold of my mind, though I harshly push it away and out of sight, whispering into his ear with a hoarse voice, thick with emotion, "I'm so sorry, Wright Grey. I failed you, Double. I'm so sorry. Go rest with my Mom now, be with Grandma. I promise you it's better than here. I'm so sorry, I should have made you stay home with your father and the rest of our brothers. Pack before Alpha, the one thing I must live by, and I just broke that creed, I just failed your father and the pack. I promise you I'll do what I can to make sure life is better for you up in Sky Haven, okay? You can rest now. Just keep your eyes closed . . . "

I ran my fingers through his thick locks of dark hair, trailing my fingers along his hairline, grabbing up his body in my arms, holding him to my best. His muscled body bloody and broken, even though he was now bigger than me, I always used to hold like this, and I would forever think of him as the smaller runt he used to be, that innocent little boy. My kin. My nephew. My brother's boy.

I let out a hiccup of air, biting down harshly on my lower lip to keep from crying out as I pulled him in closer to me one last time, embracing him tightly to my chest as my arms trembled around him before they grew slack and I put him back on the hard floor of the Promethium gently.

With that, I choked back emotions threatening to take hold of me as I get up to my feet, taking in a deep breath of smoke and blood that scent the air, filling my lungs with the toxic fumes and stench.

I look to Red, knowing she heard every word I had spoke.

I felt my eyes glow brighter in my face as my canines elongated, piercing my lower lip, my gums burning and aching in my face as I longed to sink my teeth into flesh, ripping bodies limb from limb, to feel the crunch of bones between my strong jaws and hear the beating of hearts stop in my ears. My body trembled as I tried to control the change starting to overcome me, my muscles flexing under my skin as my nails grew and sharpened into claws.

"Let's go." I snapped to her.

She nodded to me, and we were off.

    ***

My hair flew freely about my face as Red raced alongside me. A snarl came from my left as we were running through a long hallway of twisting corridors and doors, leading to chambers and rooms set up for barracks and training rooms, as well as communications systems.

I twisted to the left, pulling up my right arm, jerking it inwards towards me before pushing it out in front of me, taking aim just as a great boar rounded the corner, bloody and bruised, enraged like none other. He looked feral as he charged at us, though didn't get the chance for contact. My finger flexed over the trigger of the M4A1 CQBR I grasped in my hand, and because of my 'Were strength, I shot off three rounds, taking the recoil as smoothly as if I was shooting any regular old Sig Saur.

The boar's head exploded in a rain of gray matter and skull bits, blood splattering across the wall behind him and on me and Red just as we passed it in lightening speed. I grinned in satisfaction as it got on my face, my tongue darting out to catch the droplets on my lips. His blood tasted sweet like the most sugary candy on my tongue, and my taste-buds tingled at the sensation.

Oh, bloodshed, how delicious you are.
